Altseason is approaching.
Get ready now.

Heard that before? But you haven’t lived it like this cycle.

This time, it’s not altcoins alone; it’s memes.
We are headed into an age where memes have evolved from jokes to become a force to be reckoned with.

Phase 2 is playing out right now: Ethereum is making waves.

Phase 3 is ready to blow: large-cap altcoins are getting set to explode.

Don’t wait until the wave crests; you’ll be sitting in the cheap seats.

I’m going to reveal to you the altcoins that I am investing in.
They are not random selections; these are coins with momentum, great stories, strong communities, and good foundations.

If you believe in my fervor for this cycle, then strap in.
Here are my picks — and why I think they will thrive.

Macro Context & Why This Cycle Feels Different

The volatility between Bitcoin and Ethereum can be seen this year.
Ethereum fell by around 24.3% in Q3 2024, while the ETH/BTC ratio reached record lows. (Oak Research)

The revenue of Ethereum dropped more than 50%, transaction fees are at a five-year low level, and DeFi TVL in USD has fallen around 7.4%. (Oak Research)

Others are gaining ground, however. Solana, Base, and others are making inroads on Ethereum’s dominance of DEX volume.
Ethereum’s volume declined by around 19.6% quarter-over-quarter, while Solana’s share of the DEX saw an increase. (CoinGecko)

Market behavior is decidedly changing: capital is fleeing underperforming large-cap altcoins for narratives with momentum — memes, AI, and DePIN.

So when individuals state “altseason is dead,” what they actually mean is “old altcoins without a story are outdated.”

The Altcoins I’m Investing In + Why

I am grouping my picks into various stages: Ethereum (as a rotation), big-cap altcoins, memecoins, and AI/DePIN.

These are my strongest beliefs and the coins I expect to see huge upside movement.

Phase 2: Ethereum Momentum

$ETH
The shift from BTC to ETH has already begun. Even with a tough Q3, the outlook is hopeful.

While ETH’s price has taken a significant hit, the ETH/BTC ratio has recovered to levels not seen since the early part of 2021. (Oak Research)

ETH’s active addresses, steady growth in liquid restaking, and rising institutional demand (ETPs/ETFs) show that ETH is being set up as the next safe haven. (Bitwise Investments)

Keep in mind that although a reported +73% profit was seen in Q3, outside data indicates heavy losses for the same time, so expect volatility. (Oak Research)

If ETH starts going up once more, numerous altcoins should follow.

Phase 3: Large-Cap Altcoins You Should Consider

These are the coins I strongly feel will hold their value and maybe lead the market.

$BNB
The Binance token has a strong burning mechanism, widespread exchange use, and built-in utility.

CZ, although no longer CEO, still has significant influence, and BNB is helped by intrinsic demand created by Binance’s activities.

As altseason picks up, BNB usually acts as a hedge, thereby qualifying as a low-risk, high-usefulness asset in your portfolio.

$SOL
Solana’s ecosystem is thriving with an explosion of memecoins, DApps, and gaming.
Memes commonly opt for Solana as their launchpad.

Retail investors will pour in, and fresh all-time highs seem likely if SOL is able to hold up over key levels of resistance and continue to show adoption within Solana-based projects.

$ADA
Cardano is an underappreciated story, but people recall its previous gains.
Retail investors love ADA.

With future projects, upgrades, and wallets on the horizon, it has both a story and historical precedent.
If capital again returns to altcoins, ADA is an attractive reentry point for retail investors.

$LINK
Chainlink is showing strength. It remains a top data oracle and bluechip infrastructure option.

Recent action shows that LINK has recovered during the quarter, approaching important technical levels.
Investors are seeing potential prices of $50–$100 as LINK captures data feeds, establishes new alliances, and ramps protocol revenue. (Binance)

LINK’s utility continues strong within the Web3/DeFi universe.

Meme Coins: The Fuel of the Supercycle

If you’re not on board with memes this cycle, you’re leaving money on the table.

$PEPE
This is my favorite meme pick.
I’ve already seen the money here.

With such high participation and a great community, memes love hype, and PEPE loves that hype.

Other Memecoin Picks

Because memecoins are so volatile, it’s smart to diversify your choices.

They usually snap back hard after corrections in the market (e.g., after August’s decline).
Memes recover faster, driven by popular support.

AI / DePIN & Speculative Growth Opportunities

These are speculative picks but backed by strong stories.
Be cautious and do not put everything here, but a couple is essential.

$RENDER (RNDR)
Render has shown sound fundamentals in the AI and DePIN spaces.

It works as a decentralized network for GPU rendering, enabling creators to use spare computing capacity for rendering, VFX, and inference of AI models. (Blockchain App Factory)

Render is still quite underpriced in relation to what it could do.
If the AI and DePIN space keeps growing, this token can beat most alts.

$FET (Fetch.AI)
Fetch offers machine learning, autonomous agents, and AI network features, closely matching the narrative of RENDER.

Assuming RNDR is successful, FET might enjoy similar market conditions too.

$APT (Aptos)
Aptos is commonly regarded as undervalued relative to SOL by most analysts.

With solid technology, social support, and my investments on dips recently, APT can be a surprise one with capital flow towards large-cap altcoins with high utility.

Other Picks & Mid-Risk Positions

$AAVE
Seasoned in DeFi, AAVE is undervalued and has solid use cases in lending and borrowing.

Though it might not moon like a meme coin, it is a stable mid to high-risk investment with good risk/reward.

$ENA (Ethena)
With stablecoin volume, community backing, and momentum, ENA has consistently shown resilience.

It’s a good choice as altseason picks up steam.

$KAS (Kaspa)
With a Bitcoin-beta exposure and an exciting community, KAS is cheap and may rally, particularly when the narrative becomes aligned.

What I’m Doing & My Strategy

I’m not all in on memes.
But I am shifting more of my mid to high-risk portfolio to memes and AI/DePIN.

I’m slowly getting into the above selections over time (not all at the same time, since timing matters).

When altseason commences in earnest (once TOTAL3 breaks out), I’ll strategically exit some positions at all-time highs.

Until then, my focus is on holding and accumulating.

External Data & Confirmations

Ethereum’s trading volume has decreased by approximately 19.6% quarter-over-quarter in Q3 2024.

SOL and Base have gained ground in DEX volumes. (CoinGecko)

Chainlink has rallied more than 80% in the quarter so far and is close to being at critical technical levels. (Binance)

Render has beaten the market by +7.9% in the last 30 days; it has burn mechanics and a DePIN story. (CoinMarketCap)

Conclusion

Altseason is here, but not as you might have thought.

This cycle, the winning combination is memes, AI/DePIN, and bluechip altcoins with solid fundamentals.

If your portfolio reflects last cycle’s choices without a good story, you will be left behind.

Invest wisely, take care of your risk, don’t get greedy, and sell when you see that even your watchman or househelp is talking about the next crypto 100x.
